City Copilot NYC Travel Hack: The J Train to JFK
Sicily, 1922 City Copilot’s storefront, last month.
We’re chatting with an adorable family from Italy who are safely and securely storing their luggage with us before their evening flight back to Rome from JFK. They tell us they’ve been staying in midtown.
“Go on,” we say.
Currently, most of City Copilot’s luggage dropoffs are from folks who are staying downtown, not above 42nd Street. “Why did you choose to store your luggage down on the Lower East Side?”
“We planned it so that on the last day, we’d store our luggage with you, then visit the 9/11 Memorial and the Tenement Museum, eat at Russ & Daughters, then grab our bags from you and just hop on J train to JFK.”
So to anyone planning to stay in Midtown Manhattan or above 14th Street: the J train can be your New York City airport travel copilot. City Copilot (located at 166 Allen Street) is literally STEPS from the Bowery stop. You needn’t miss out the Lower East Side, East Village, Chinatown or Little Italy.
Drop off your bags with us, hit up these great neighborhoods, pick up your bags in our air conditioned storefront, get on the J, and boom: you’re at JFK.
And this also serves as a reminder to New Yorkers: don’t fear it. The J is the Abbi to JFK’s Ilana. It’s a beautiful relationship.
